Kirsten Boland, PA, joined the Grand Junction Gastroenterology team in the fall of 2019, specializing in liver disease diagnosis, care, and treatment at the Grand Junction Gastroenterology Liver Clinic. Boland leads the clinic with William Shields, DO, FACP, FACG.

Boland moved west to Colorado after working for nearly two decades in the medical field and as a clinical instructor at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. She is no stranger to Colorado. Boland earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. She went on to receive her Master of Health Sciences from Duke University and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Boland is a Nationally Certified Physician Assistant and is a licensed physician assistant with the Colorado Medical Board.
